So I went to Madrid for a week with two of my friends. We got the chance to enjoy some good food, with great company and nice weather (38°C to be exact).
On tuesday we wanted to go eat a good steak, after shopping on the infamous Gran Vía we headed to La Parilla de Maria. At first we were a little taken aback by the menu. It was very different than what we’re used to in Antwerp. We just thought, you know what? We’re on vacation, let’s just go for it! And we we’re glad we did.
After we got our drinks we were offered Spanish Gazpacho. It was soo good.
For dinner we ordered grilled lamb ribs and lemon chicken breast with french fries and a salad.
After dinner they offered us a dessert, panna cotta! Which is my favorite dessert. This brings back so many childhood memories. I used to eat that all the time. We also got our after dinner drinks on the house!
This restaurant was very clean and the waiter was very nice and helpfull. La Parilla has different prices for the bar and terrace. The prices for the terrace are a little more expensive . Which is pretty common in Madrid.
The french fries were not that great but everything else was pretty good. Altought the limoncello was quite strong I enjoyed all the extras they gave us for free which was a great experience. A very fancy experience at that!
Make sure to check it out if you’re ever in Madrid and looking for a nice culinary experience.
