La Roche-Posay

November 14, 2014

I just realized that I haven’t blogged since september! I’ve been caught up in school, work.. That’s why I haven’t been blogging. In the meantime I had time to get my skincare routine together & I’m happy I did cause I’m loving it so far. Through youtube & other recommendations I got acquainted with La Roche-Posays skincare line. I have combination/oily skin. My T-zone gets very oily during the day while my undereyes get dry & the rest of my face is normal. So I decided to try to try these few products out. Ps: this line is also highly recommended by dermatologists.

This is the Effaclar Purifying foaming gel for oily sensitive skin. It’s paraben-free and has a PH level of 5.5. This thoroughly cleanes your pores. It gets rid of all the dirt that’s in there causing you to get pimples. When wearing makeup don’t forget to use a makeup remover or a wipe  to take it all off before using the gel. U then proceed to wet your face with lukewarm water and apply a dime-sized amount rub it inbetween your fingers till it foams up and rub it on your face. Rinse it off.

After that I use the Effaclar purifying micellar water for oily sensitive skin. I just put a small amount of it on a cotton pad and whipe my face. All the dirt that I wasn’t able to get off my face will definately be gone after this step. This can also be used as a makeup remover.

The next step is applying a moisturizer. I use the Effaclar Duo [+] Corrective Unclogging Ani-imperfections Anti-Marks. This keeps my pores from clogging up again and fades my acne scars. My skin is very moisturized, doesn’t feel oily. This moisturizer is the strongest that they have for oily & acne-prone skin and IT WORKS!

La Roche-Posay is available in every pharmacy. The prices for the micellar water and the moisturizer are about €15 and the purifiyng foaming gel costs approximately €5.

Once a week I treat my face to a Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask by The Body Shop. It’s made out of natural products. This is also for oily skin and retails for €18/£13.

I am very happy with my results. My skin has really changed for the better, I’m just really bummed that I didn’t take a picture to show you guys how it looked before. These are a bit on the pricey side but after looking for a great product for my skintype I’m really happy that I went for these ones.

I hope they work as well for you as they did for me.

I also love the Effaclar Duo + moisturizer, but only in spring en summer. It’s not moisturizing enough for my skin during the colder months.

You should try the Clinque or Garnier moisturizer for oily skin. Those are great products too. Clinque is more on the pricey side but they’re worth the money.. I hope this helps! Thanks for reading my posts doll! xo
