For the past few months my skin has been quite difficult to deal with. I was dealing with a lot of breakouts, white heads, dry spots, large pores etc. My skin has improved tremendously over the course of two months. I think I’ve finally found the perfect product combination for my skin and I’m in love. Here are my favorites at the moment.
Moisturizing
In the morning I apply the Effaclar K (+) by La Roche Posay. It reduces the appearance of blackheads & whiteheads, uncloggs pores, smoothes and refines your skin texture. It’s supposed to be mattifying but that’s not always the case. I still would recommend it tho.
After I wash my face at night I use the High-Potency Night-A-Mins (oil-free) by Organics. I don’t even know how to explain how good this product is. It’s amazing! The cream has a light gel texture, doens’t dry sticky or greasy and absorbs nicely into the skin. It has a very fresh, citrusy scent which doesn’t linger. The scent dissapears as soon as the cream is absorbed into the skin. The cream contains vitamine C, E & H. I’ve noticed that my skin looks more even & smooth and let’s not forget that natural glow I have every single morning.
Cleansing
In the past I used the Effaclar Purifiyng Foaming Gel by Laroche Posay to cleanse my face but that eventually stopped working for me. Now I use the Ultra Rapid Action Gel Wash by Clearasil. This contains salicylic acid which is an ingredient to look for when purchasing acne fighting products. I cleanse my face twice a day with lukewarm water and splash cold water on my face at the end to close my pores. I’v used this face wash before I got acquainted with the products above and I can definetly say that it has helped clear up my skin.
On days where I feel that my skin needs to be deeply cleansed I reach for the Mask of Magnaminty by Lush. It’s a 100% natural and contains ingredients like peppermint oil, marigold oil, mineral rich kaolin, honey and chlorophyllin to treat the skin & aduki beans and evening primrose seeds to exfoliate the skin. This is a multi-purpose mask, which means you can also use it on the rest of your body.
When my skin feels dry, I use the Tony Moly I’m Real Rice Sheet Mask. This Korean mask makes my skin feel soft & hydrated after using this. I just keep it let’s not forget how relaxing it is. This one is perfect if you want to nurse your skin back to health. So don’t forget to stock up on these to pamper yourself.
Tips
Use Extra Virgin Olive Oil to remove make-up
Apply tea tree oil on your pimples to dry them out.
Pat your face dry, don’t rub.
Don’t use the same towel and pillowcase for more than one week.
Avoid touching your face too often. If you plan to do so, please wash your hands first.
*This routine is what helps me at the moment. Adjustments will be made if necessary.
